Customer Review: Essential addition to my contractor's saw

I've added a set of Forrest stiffener/dampener plates to both of my DeWalt contractor's table saws, both the older 13A one and the newer, lighter 15A model. Both saws were greatly improved by the add-on.
1. On the low end, even the basic DeWalt blades now cut quite well. Ripping in particular is faster and smoother with much less feed pressure required. Long cuts in plywood and pressure-treated lumber are practically vibration free compared to before.
2. On the higher end, a Freud combination blade plus these stiffeners pretty much takes a contractor's saw as far as it's worth going. I have built my own home furniture with this combo with very little sanding needed.
But back to the low end, I can't emphasize this enough: even if you don't need smoothness from your contractor's saw, you NEED a pair of these just for how much you will speed up your rip cuts. The first time you rip a whole unit of 2x6 in half or rip out a few hundred feet of firring strips from plywood, these plates will pay for themselves.
