I mounted this on my Makita circular saw and have since made dozens of rip and cross cuts in standard sanded plywood from a big box store and oak, both new and used. I use a long edge guide (shop-built; a 1x2 attached as a fence to an 8" wide piece of plywood ripped from a full sheet) for long rip and cross cuts, and every cut is perfectly clean. The blade doesn't bind or bog down, and there is NO tearout. The edges are better than the edges on sheet goods from the factory (although that's not THAT hard to do). With the edge guide and careful calibration of the blade to the sole plate on the saw, you can skip the jointer.
Yes, it costs double what inferior blades do. No, you'll never toss a piece of wood due to a poor cut arising from blade performance. With the skyrocketing prices of lumber, maximizing the useful pieces is critical. If you're short on cash, you need this blade even more, for just that reason.
