About the SD500 Product Family
The SD500 series of dado sets cuts everything from veneered plywoods and laminates to solid wood, chip and splinter-free with a super smooth, flat bottom. These dado sets were the first to include a 3/32-inch thick chipper and offer the flexibility of an adjustable dado to handle today's undersized plywood. This allows the cut width to be adjusted in 1/32-inch increments and doubles the number of slot widths available. A shim set is also included with the dado set for fine adjustments. Use it on all table saws, and radial arm saws for cutting slots, grooves, dadoes, and rabbets in softwood or hardwood

About the SD508 Super Dado
Freud's 8-inch Super Dado set produces smooth, square-bottom grooves and rabbets. Stacked dado sets like this one are more accurate and reliable than wobble dados, which leave a rounded bottom in the groove and can cause splintering and chipping. But Freud's Super Dado set is especially good at producing smooth, chip-free results in plywoods and veneers. This set features Freud's unique kickback-reducing design for safe dadoing even when you're using it in a radial-arm saw. The set includes two outside blades, six four-wing chippers, and a set of shims, and it stores in a handy protective case.

Applications
Use this dado set to cut veneered plywoods, laminates, solid wood, chip and splinter-free woods. This set is not recommended for non-ferrous, ferrous metals, or masonry.
