Customer Review: Cuts Cast Iron Pipe!

These blades are pricey, but they are the best thing I've used yet for cutting cast iron piping during remoding jobs. I've tried metal cutting circular saw blades, metal cutting disks on an angle grinder, other metal cutting reciprocating saw blades and a pneumatic cut off wheel. This not only does the job, but one blade will last long enough to cut many pipes!Customer Review: Great for fiberglass

I own a large selection of Milwaukee tools and a few Hilti tools. IMO, getting Milwaukee products are like getting Hilti products for a little less money. However, if you work in punishing, demanding conditions everyday, all day, then Hilti may be the way to go for the very long haul. The package itself shows that this blade is NOT for cast iron or hard tile. I bought this product to cut through a piece of aluminum channel. Took probably 45 minutes, which was far longer than it took at the metal yard. They did it in about 2 seconds. I like my sawzall Factory-Reconditioned Milwaukee 6538-821 15-Amp Super Sawzall Orbital Reciprocating Saw with Case quite a bit and eventually I got through the channel, but I expected way more out of the blades. I don't find them all that special. Oh, and this might be painfully obvious to most people, but just in case, do NOT use them for wood - they will make a huge mess out of that.
I still have two out of three left, so if I find a good use for them that I would recommend, I will post it. By the way, the package says that these cut:
Fiberglass
Block
Masonry
Plaster
Ceramic tile
The two items shown that they specifically are not able to cut are:
Hard Tile (Grade 5)
Cast Iron
The one that is supposed to cut Cast Iron and Hard Tile (Grade 5) is the diamond Milwaukee 48-00-1440 Sawzall Blade 6" Diamond Grit and Milwaukee 48-00-1450 Sawzall Blade 9" Diamond Grit
