Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rockwell RW9122.3 Sonicrafter 1-3/8-Inch Universal End Cut Blade, 3-Piece

Customer Review: Sonicrafter Metal/Wood blade
Summary: 1 Stars

Used the Metal/Wood blade to cut off a nail. The teeth were flattened after one nail. Tool works fine on wood.

Customer Review: Universal Blade Tooth Wear - READ
Summary: 5 Stars

The blade does get damaged by cutting nails, however, I am building a deck and here's what I learned. The "worn out" blade still cuts the nails because of moderate hand pressure, heat, and friction. The teeth did not really make the "nail cut" much faster because the teeth were gone almost immediately. I save the worn blades for cutting nails "only" and I use the newer "toothed" blades for everything else. Do not discard the worn blades as I have learned the hard (and expensive) way!Rockwell RW9122 Sonicrafter 1-3/8-Inch Universal End Cut Blade, 1-Piece

Customer Review: Universal blades for the Sonicrafter
Summary: 3 Stars

We are putting new windows in an OLD house. First we bought the blades that had longer teeth. They worked on wood, but would not make a dent in nails. so, we bought this blade to saw off the nails between the frame and the trim. The blades work great, but seem to get dull quickly.

Customer Review: When you gotta go...
Summary: 4 Stars

As a Landscape Design Build Contractor, this little tool comes in handy for all types of things, and I use it at home too. I had to replace an old toilet seat over the weekend and had to cut through the metal screws that had rusted so tight that wd40 didn't do a thing to them. So I broke out my sonicrafter, popped on one of these blades and sure, it took about 40 seconds per screw, but I cut around the outside edge of each one and between that and the heat generated, the thing just kind of fell apart as soon as I grabbed it with a pair of pliers. And this was no little nail, but a 1/2 or 5/8" screw. All these other guys with problems are either not tightening the tool enough, or possibly their nails are loose. If things are loose, the piece you are cutting obviously vibrates with the tool so it works much slower. Just apply enough pressure to hold it tight against the edge of whatever you are cutting it from. (It didn't even scratch the porcelain.) Heck, it took me longer to thread the cheap plastic nut on the new seat than it took me to cut the old one off. My blade still has all the teeth on it too. Are they new looking? No, but it still has plenty of life. Just tighten the sucker and it works fein,..ah,.. fine.

Item as described. Would purchase again. Could be cheaper, but you can say that about everything these days.
